Giovani Fascisti (wich were NOT fascists, but students)
....nobody was fascist. Students, farmers pressed to the military people there by accident. As long as Italy was on the winning side (or at least as long as people believed they would win), if there were not fascist --- at least they were not against the fascist...

The discussion about BeG is very interresting; the italian side declares it as a BATTLE they have won against a very superior enemy....the british side calls it more or less a MINOR SKIRMISH...

Am courious about the story.

I thought that there were two and not only one battles / skirmishes at Bir Elgobi?

Giovani Fascisti at Bir El Gobi

Beitragvon attilio60 » 25/3/2006, 21:49

In this thread there is some confusion about the Giovani Fascisti during the battle of Bir El Gobi

This unit was not present during the first battle of 18 november 1941. The italian unist involved were the Ariete division with the 8th Rgt Bersaglieri and the Milmart 102/35 autocannoni.

The Giovani Fascisti fought the battle of 4-5 december versus the 11th Indian Brigade, the 31th art. rgt and 16 tanks Valentine (8th Royal tank rgt)
