The FIAT 15 ter was the probably most important truck of the Italians during the pre war time in Libya.

Fiat 15 TER - 1911

Questo autocarro rappresenta la prima produzione di serie di un veicolo per usi militari, impiegato in operazioni di guerra.
Infatti il FIAT 15 Bis, detto "Libia", ebbe il battesimo di fuoco durante la campagna di Libia, nella battaglia di Zanzur (8/06/1912 e 8/07/1912); il 15 Ter si differenzia dal 15 Bis per la maggiore cilindrata, la velocità superiore, per le ruote a disco metallico.
Prodotto dal 1911 al 1920 rimase in servizio sino al 1940.

Motore: 4 cilindri in linea, cilindrata 4398 cm3
Velocità max.: 40 Km/h.

If anybody comes across one of these trucks in a museum, could he please take some relevant photographs then?

At least it must have been one of these "narrow" tires. Maybe somebody comes accross a restored truck somewhere in a museum - and would not forget to look for such parts then :-)
